His Creation, His Design, His Glory

2024

“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Revelation 4:11

“You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
St. Augustine

“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

“The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.”
Psalm 33:11

The “His Creation, His Design, His Glory” album is intended to put together the concept that reflects the truths that God is the Creator and the Designer of our purpose and He is the King of all glory. For this concept, the album highlights the portrayal of a particular inference: that of purpose. The challenge presented is the personal evaluation of each of our lives to discern whether or not we are willingly presenting ourselves as instruments for God’s purpose and glory. (Romans 12:1-2, Romans 6:13)

One doesn’t invent a chair just to let it sit in the corner and be a chair by itself. The chair has a specific purpose (to be sat on by people) and design to carry out that purpose, both given by its creator. The chair doesn’t choose how it is made or what it is made for. The Creator decides His creation’s purpose. (Colossians 1:16)

Naturally, we all want to find the unique purpose of the design God has given each of us. Our discovery of it is dependent on our relationship with God and His timing. We may not understand it all, but we can trust that His design is perfect, steadfast, and eternal. (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 33:11)

When God’s purpose is accomplished through us, it is His own purpose that He Himself is fulfilling through His creation. Therefore, He deserves and will receive all the glory. We should not hesitate to declare the glory of the One who loved us so incomparably and everlastingly that He sent His only Son to die for our sins. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23)

The abstract photos in this album attempt to capture the question of purpose. Are we willingly taking faithful steps to see God’s purpose accomplished in our life? Are we ignoring His purpose for us? Are we trying to create our own purpose? Unlike the album’s picture of purpose, God’s purpose cannot be thwarted. (Job 42:2, Proverbs 19:21)

Let’s follow His will and experience with joy His purpose for the design He has given us while giving Him all the glory.
